YESTERDAY GETS WORSE EPK

Untitled_Artwork.JPG

Don't take yourself too seriously, try to make every environment better because you're in it.

Simple, but that's how Cold Weather Kids approach music with high energy tunes that shy away from the traditional relationship tropes and instead turn their focus on overcoming frustration, feeling isolated, aging, and other relatable anxieties with lyrics that poke fun at the world as well as themselves reminding everyone that: "everybody's got problems, nobody cares."

Yesterday Gets Worse is aiming to capture the nostalgic feelings of the warped tour era without the scandals and controversies that go with the stereotypical pop punk band. Not a single song on the release is based on a breakup or a bad relationship. Keep the catchiness, energy, tempo and make the subjects self-realizing, deprecating but light hearted.

We are prepared to put this out ourselves but wanted to first gauge potential interest in possibly expanding the release to a full length should an album budget be provided. Below the current EP playlist we also have playlists of FINISHED and un-finished demos that could potentially round out the record for consideration.

We've started to record acoustic versions of our songs and the original intent for self release is to add 3 acoustic tracks after the 5 fully polished tracks for an 8 song (self) release.

Highlights for sound include switching between lead singers Ryan Scottie & Adam Allison, lush layered harmonies, and driving chorus's with relatable landing lines.

We're prepared to release this on our own should that be the best option available for us. But.

If we were to come into more funding we'd love to explore filling out this release as a full length album. We have potential songs to add below.
